It’s too early to draw conclusions: Iran’s foreign minister on situation in Syria
It is too early to draw conclusions about the developments in Syria, as numerous factors continue to influence the situation, which remains subject to change, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated.
“There are currently many significant factors in Syria that are shaping the country’s future. In my opinion, it is premature to make assumptions about the current situation—both for us and for representatives of the other side, who believe they have achieved victory at this stage. Many events are yet to unfold in the future,” ISNA news agency writes, citing Araghchi.
To remind, on Dec. 8, opposition representatives announced on air that Syria had come under their control. Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali, the country’s prime minister, stated that he would stay in Syria along with several ministers, adding that he had already established contact with the leaders of the armed opposition.
