
Aliyev discusses situation in South Caucasus with EU special representative for South Caucasus
Magdalena Grono, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, has arrived in Baku. Grono met with Ilham Aliyev, as reported by the Azerbaijani president’s press service.
According to Aliyev, Baku continues to make efforts to “ensure peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” noting that the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation process is under way at the bilateral level. Grono, for her part, stated that “dialogue between the European Union and Azerbaijan is important.”
She stated that “Azerbaijan has made significant contributions to ensuring Europe’s energy security.”
