European Parliament member: Aliyev’s rhetoric undermines attempts at regional peace and security

Member of European Parliament Miriam Lexmann has commented on the recent statements of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on X.

“As the European Parliament standing rapporteur on Armenia, I’m abhorred by Ilham Aliyev’s offensive and irredentist remarks, which undermine attempts at regional peace and security. It’s time for complex but sincere diplomacy, not hate and threats,” Lexmann wrote.
