Peskov: Cooperation with Russia provides significant dividends for Armenia and its people
Russia values its relations with Armenia, Spokesperson for Russian President Dmitry Peskov said.
“We have our bilateral relations with Armenia. We value those relations. We intend to develop them further,” Peskov noted while commenting on the signing of a document regarding strategic cooperation between the U.S. and Armenia.
According to him, the development of strategic partnership between Armenia and the U.S. is Yerevan’s sovereign right. Peskov recalled the significant dividends that Armenia receives from cooperation with Russia and within the framework of integration processes.
“Besides the bilateral aspects, the aspects of our cooperation within integration processes, including the EAEU, are, of course, very important for us. All of this together constitutes cooperation that provides significant dividends for Armenia and its people,” Peskov said while commenting on the signing of a document between the U.S. and Armenia. He added that the U.S. has never played a stabilizing role in the South Caucasus.
“One could even argue the opposite. And it is in the context of these actions that the U.S. is, of course, trying in every way to attract more and more countries,” Peskov told reporters.
