Israel and Palestine agree on ceasefire deal

Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and to exchange prisoners.

According to Al Jazeera, in the first phase, the Israeli military will withdraw its forces 700 meters from the Gaza border.

In return, the Palestinian side has agreed to release 33 Israeli hostages in the initial phase.

In a statement on social media, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump hinted at his involvement in brokering the agreement between Israel and Palestine.

“We have an agreement regarding hostages in the Middle East. They will be released soon,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.
