Axios: A ceasefire and hostage return deal has been officially signed in Doha

A ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas has been officially signed by negotiators in Doha, Axios reports, referring to sources.

The deal was signed by officials from Israel, Qatar, and Hamas. On behalf of the U.S., the document was signed by Brett McGurk, Deputy Assistant to U.S. President Joe Biden and National Security Council Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that an agreement had been reached regarding the ceasefire and the return of hostages, despite his office previously accusing Hamas of backing out of some points of the agreement at the last minute.
