Zelenskyy: Trump could end the war, but only with Ukraine’s involvement

U.S. President Donald Trump could fulfill his promise to end the war in Ukraine, but only if Kyiv is involved in the negotiations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“Otherwise, it’s not possible. Russia does not want to stop the war, while Ukraine is striving for that,” Zelenskyy said, noting that the terms of any potential agreement are still unclear and may even be incomprehensible to Trump. According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin is not interested in halting the conflict.

“I believe that Trump genuinely wants to put an end to this war, which will soon reach its three-year mark,” the Ukrainian president concluded.
