Lebedev: It will be challenging for Armenia without the EAEU and the CIS

It will be challenging for Armenia without cooperation on the margins of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the CIS, CIS General Secretary Sergey Lebedev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“The reality is this: Armenia will have a hard time without the CIS countries, without cooperation on the margins of the EAEU and the CIS. But why create unnecessary complications and difficulties for the people of Armenia? The CIS countries and Belarus, as far as I know, are ready to help Armenia maintain this cooperation,” Lebedev noted.

Speaking about the recently signed charter on strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States, as well as Yerevan’s plans to join the European Union, the CIS general secretary noted that many documents are signed but are not subsequently implemented, stating that “then life makes its corrections.”
