Zelenskyy says Putin fears negotiations
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented in a Telegram post on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent statements regarding ways to end the nearly three-year-long war, saying that the Russian president’s words indicate he is afraid of negotiations and seeks to make the conflict endless.
“Putin has once again confirmed that he is afraid of negotiations, afraid of strong leaders, and is doing his best to prolong the war indefinitely,” the Ukrainian president stated.
To remind, Putin had declared that his country could conduct negotiations for peace with Ukraine, but simultaneously noted that Zelenskyy cannot sign any document because his power is “not legitimate.”
