CSTO Joint Staff chief: The Caucasus region remains unstable
The increase in tension along the western borders of Belarus and Russia is unprecedented, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Andrey Serdyukov said during a press briefing.
According to him, the situation in the Caucasus region remains unstable, and the process of resolution is ongoing. The central issue continues to be the delimitation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the preparation for the conclusion of a peace treaty.
Serdyukov added that CSTO drills are planned to take place in Belarus in September.
