Elon Musk accuses USAID of funding COVID-19 and biological weapon development

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the U.S. will rid itself of the “radical lunatics” leading USAID.

USAID’s X account, which had nearly one million followers, has been deleted. The agency’s website is also currently inaccessible.

Just the day before, two senior USAID officials refused to allow Elon Musk, who heads the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency, into the agency’s secret space. They have been placed on “administrative leave.”

Musk has accused USAID of funding biological weapons development.

“Did you know that USAID, using YOUR tax dollars, funded bioweapon research, including COVID-19, that killed millions of people?” Musk wrote on X. He further claimed that USAID is a criminal organization, stating, “It’s time for it to die.”

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is a U.S. federal government agency primarily responsible for coordinating aid to other countries. According to the agency, its mission is to provide economic and humanitarian assistance throughout the world consistent with U.S. foreign policy.
