USAID headquarters in Washington shut down
The headquarters of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington has been shut down by a decision of the U.S. administration; the sign has been taken down from the building, Fox News reports.
As reported, employees of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is headed by Elon Musk, have already gained access to the agency’s computer systems.
To remind, on Feb. 2, Musk referred to USAID as a “criminal organization” and stated that “it is time for it to die.” In a separate X post, he noted that the agency was“ a viper’s nest of radical-left marxists who hate America.”
