Baltic states making exit from BRELL power grid

The energy systems of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia will officially connect to the EU grid on Feb. 9, marking the completion of their withdrawal from the joint power grid BRELL, which includes Belarus, Russia, and the Baltic states.

Prior to this transition, the three Baltic republics will temporarily operate in isolation mode. Despite the severance of energy links, the Kaliningrad region will not face electricity shortages, as it has been functioning autonomously for a long time.
