Fidan: The US must pressure Israel

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that the complete international isolation of Israel will help prevent the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip by the present Israeli authorities.

“The sequence of Netanyahu’s thoughts is, of course, evident. After the release of the hostages, nothing will stop him from resuming military operations. The only thing that will work is if the international community adopts a realistic stance and fully isolates Israel,” Fidan said in an interview with Palestine TV channel.

He noted that the guarantors of the ceasefire deal in Gaza are Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S. “The U.S. must pressure Israel to comply with the terms of this deal. If Netanyahu starts a war again with U.S. support, trust in the U.S., which has already reached rock bottom, will decrease even further. And all of this will lead to the continuation of the crisis,” Fidan stated.
