Foreign Ministry and EU officials discuss Armenia-EU visa facilitation agreement’s implementation
An official meeting was held at the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the participation of representatives from the Foreign Ministry’s Consular and European Departments, the EU Division, and the EU delegation.
The officials discussed the implementation of the Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia on the facilitation of the issuance of visas and presented the consular functions carried out by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Armenian embassies abroad.
The EU delegation, which includes representatives from relevant EU directorates, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), and EU member states, will be in Armenia from Feb. 10 to Feb. 14 on the margins of the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue.
The visit aims to assess Armenia’s preparedness in areas such as document security, border, migration management, and other related areas, which will contribute to the development of an action plan for the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue.
