Witkoff: The US expects an agreement with Kyiv on mineral resources will be signed next week

Washington anticipates finalizing a deal with Kyiv regarding the use of mineral resources next week, U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steven Witkoff said.

Witkoff stated that the agreement is largely aimed at compensating for everything Washington has done for the Ukrainian people, noting that U.S. President Donald Trump “views the deal this way.”

To remind, last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected signing the agreement, indicating that he opposes the deal in its current form and suggesting that changes be made.
