Lavrov: The US speaks directly about its desire to end the conflict in Ukraine, while Europe demands the ‘continuation of the feast’

The United States speaks directly about its desire to end the conflict in Ukraine, while Europe demands the “continuation of the feast” in the form of war, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda media holding.

“And now, after Joe Biden’s administration, people have come who want to be guided by common sense; they say directly that they want to end all wars. Who is demanding the ‘continuation of the feast’ in the form of war? Europe,” Lavrov said.

He added that “for the past 500 years, all the world’s tragedies have either originated in Europe or occurred as a result of European policies.”

“I do not want to sound anti-European, but the current situation confirms the idea expressed by many historians,” Lavrov noted.

Speaking about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Lavrov described him as a “true Nazi” and a “traitor to the Jewish people.”

“Volodymyr Zelenskyy has turned 180 degrees from the man who came to power with peace slogans, saying, ‘Stop speaking about the Russian language; this is our common language, our common culture.’ In just six months, he transformed into a true Nazi and, as Russian President Vladimir Putin correctly stated, became a traitor to the Jewish people,” Lavrov said.
