Lukashenko ready to mediate Putin-Zelenskyy-Trump talks

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has announced Minsk’s willingness to organize negotiations between the presidents of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine.

“We need to persuade and reach an agreement with Zelenskyy, as a large part of Ukrainian society stands with him; so we need to negotiate. If you want, come here, calmly and without shouting, to reach an agreement. Tell Trump that I am waiting for him here [in Minsk] with Putin and Zelenskyy; we will sit down and talk calmly if you want to come to an agreement,” Lukashenko said in an interview with American blogger Mario Nawfal.

According to the Belarusian president, Trump is a more independent president than Joe Biden. “Perhaps it’s wrong, but he [Trump] makes decisions. Biden hasn’t made decisions himself; he was told not to make a call, and he didn’t call. He was told to label Putin as a dictator, and he did. Due to his temperament and physical condition, Biden has not been able to stand up as Trump does. That’s the whole problem,” Lukashenko concluded.
