US and Ukraine to discuss 6-month ceasefire in Riyadh

Next week, the agenda for the meeting between the U.S. and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia will include discussions on a conflict resolution agreement and a six-month ceasefire, RIA Novosti reports, citing U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff.

“We are currently discussing the possibility of organizing a meeting with the Ukrainians in Riyadh, or potentially even in Jeddah, so the city may change, but it will be in Saudi Arabia. I believe the idea is to lay the groundwork for a peace agreement in the form of a six-month ceasefire,” Witkoff stated.
