Syrian authorities deploy additional forces near Khmeimim Air Base

Additional units of Syria’s security forces, loyal to the country’s new authorities, have been stationed in the city of Jableh, Latakia Governorate, where the Russian Khmeimim Air Base is positioned.

Intense fighting is taking place against armed supporters of the country’s former President Bashar al-Assad, as reported by Al Arabiya.

According to the outlet, bitter clashes are taking place in the city.

To remind, there is a major disturbance in various provinces of Syria, organized by armed supporters of Assad.
