Agreement between Syrian authorities and Syrian Democratic Forces; Ceasefire established nationwide

The leadership of the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has signed an agreement with the Syrian government to integrate all civilian and armed organizations of the Kurdish autonomy in northeastern Syria into state agencies, the Office of the Syrian President said in a statement.

“Following a meeting between Ahmed al-Sharaa and Mazloum Abdi on Monday, an agreement was reached that includes the integration of all civilian and military bodies in northeastern Syria into Syrian state agencies, including border crossings, airports, and oil and gas fields,” reads the statement.

The agreement also notes that the Kurdish population is an inseparable part of the Syrian state and possesses civil rights according to the country’s constitution. The signed agreement also establishes a ceasefire throughout Syria.

Representatives of the Kurdish population have confirmed their support for the prosecution of former regime supporters.

Amid these events, people have taken to the streets in various regions of Syria, celebrating with fireworks as the Syrian government has reached an agreement to include the Syrian Democratic Forces in state institutions.
