Houthis announce attack on Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport

The Houthi movement, which governs northern Yemen said it launched a missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Yahya Saree, Military Spokesperson for the Houthis, said this in a Telegram post, as reported by Sputnik Armenia.

“The missile forces have conducted a high-quality military operation targeting the occupied Ben Gurion Airport in Jaffa. The operation was carried out using the Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile and successfully achieved its objective,” Saree read.

He added that the Yemeni armed forces also targeted enemy naval vessels in the Red Sea, including the USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier and associated warships. The Houthis have resumed military operations against Israel amid the latter’s renewed operations in the Gaza Strip. Earlier, on the evening of March 16, they announced an attack on an aircraft carrier, calling it a response to the bombings in Yemeni territory that, according to the Houthi government’s Ministry of Health, resulted in over 50 deaths and more than a hundred injuries.
