Gyumri: Election campaign: Day 5

The memory of Gyumri residents is fresh—on March 30, they will determine who is a traitor and who is a patriot. Civil Contract party’s candidate for Gyumri mayor, Sarik Minasyan, said this during the election campaign. It is the fifth day of the election campaign; candidates continue their efforts to win the trust of Gyumri’s residents.

Martun Grigoryan, the candidate from the Our City alliance, considers the mayoral election crucial. Today, he once again toured the city, engaging in conversations with Gyumri residents. He has pledged to revitalize different quarters of Gyumri in an Italian style.

Karen Simonyan, the candidate from the Mother Armenia alliance, has strongly condemned post-election power struggles, urging all political forces to respect the choice of Gyumri residents.

Another mayoral candidate, Artyom Tumanyan, claims that the Civil Contract party fears his posters. According to him, he is the only candidate whose posters the Central Electoral Commission has now allowed to be displayed in the city.

Meeting with residents, visits to different neighborhoods, and promises of a European-style Gyumri—the EuroAlliance is in a confident mood, but not this week. The weather has disrupted the plans of all candidates this week. Due to heavy precipitation, the pace of the election campaign in Gyumri has slowed, promising new developments in the coming week.
