Zakharova: Armenian and Russian leaders keep in regular contact

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing that Armenia and Russia continue to maintain contact at various political levels.

“The leaders of the two countries are in regular contact. The Armenian prime minister has accepted an invitation to visit Moscow on May 9. Additionally, economic ties are developing,” Zakharova said.

She noted that Yerevan sees the benefits of its EAEU membership. According to Zakharova, the viewpoints of Armenia and Russia generally align on international platforms; however, there are issues that need to be addressed to ensure they do not harm bilateral relations.
