Galuzin: It is impossible to be in both the EAEU and the EU at the same time
It is impossible to be a member of both the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the EU simultaneously, but Armenia must decide where its best option lies, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told RIA Novosti.
“We are convinced that it is impossible to be in two opposing associations, such as the EAEU and the EU, at the same time,” Galuzin said.
He noted that the EAEU is an association of equal states, while the EU is an organization where “there is discipline subordinated to anti-Russian narratives cut off reality by Brussels bureaucrats.”
“Yerevan must decide what the best option is. We hope that the benefits of EAEU membership and the scale of losses that could result from a break with the EAEU will be explained to the Armenian public, so that they have an objective understanding of the reality,” the deputy minister noted.
Galuzin added that Armenia is a sovereign state that independently chooses its development vector.
