Trump sure about successful cooperation with Russia on Ukrainian issue

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that, unlike European leaders, he can successfully cooperate with Russia regarding the Ukraine conflict.

“Europe has not succeeded in its relations with President Putin. But I believe I will be successful,” Trump told American reporters aboard his plane while discussing Ukraine.

In his view, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is “looking to make a deal” for conflict resolution.

“And I think President Putin is also ready for a deal,” the U.S. president added.

He did not comment on the negotiations taking place in Washington between Kirill Dmitriev, Russian Presidential Envoy on Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation, and representatives of the U.S. administration.
