
2nd round of Russia-US talks to take place in Istanbul
The second round of Russian-American talks regarding the activities of diplomatic missions will be held in the coming days in Istanbul, RIA Novosti writes, referring to Russia’s Foreign Ministry.
“The second round of Russian-American consultations dedicated to the regulation of the activities of the diplomatic missions of the two countries will take place in the coming days. The venue, expert format, and participants will remain unchanged. The talks will be held in Istanbul,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
The Russian delegation will continue to be led by Alexander Darchiev, who is now serving as the Russian ambassador to the U.S. According to the ministry, the head of the U.S. delegation is Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Coulter. Russia’s Foreign Ministry added that “among the remaining participants are representatives from the foreign ministries of both Russia and the U.S.”
