U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has added one individual and five entities to its sanctions list in connection with Iran’s nuclear program, according to a statement from the agency.
“The sanctions target five companies and one individual in Iran that support key organizations managing and overseeing the Iranian nuclear program, including the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and its affiliated technological companies,” the agency stated.
Entities that acquire or produce technologies for these organizations have also come under sanctions.
