
Iran-US talks to kick off in Muscat
An Iranian delegation has arrived in Muscat, the capital of Oman, for indirect talks with the United States, ISNA news agency reports.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei confirmed that the diplomats would travel to Muscat under the leadership of Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Before the talks begin, Araghchi is expected to meet with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
The indirect talks between Tehran and Washington are scheduled to take place on Saturday at noon.
The Iranian delegation will be headed by Araghchi, while the U.S. delegation will be led by U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
