Tatoyan Foundation publishes report on factual evidence of ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan in Artsakh

The Tatoyan Foundation has published a report on the facts of ethnic cleansing by the Azerbaijani authorities in Artsakh in September 2023, Former Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan said in a Facebook post.

“We are publishing our latest report on the facts of ethnic cleansing committed by Azerbaijani authorities in Artsakh in September 2023.

During the preparatory stage of the report, fact-finding works were carried out, including individual interviews with persons forcibly displaced from Artsakh and servicemembers of the Defense Army. Videos and other objective evidence related to the same issues were also examined.

The report includes a detailed analysis of the armed attacks launched by Azerbaijan in Artsakh in September 2023, as well as crimes committed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces against the population, infrastructure, and cultural heritage of Artsakh. The report presents evidence of Azerbaijani attacks against the peaceful population of Artsakh, including children, as well as civilian objects such as schools, hospitals, and residential homes.

The report also contains facts confirming the forced displacement of the population of Artsakh and demonstrates the destruction and desecration of Armenian cultural heritage by Azerbaijani authorities, including the annihilation of historical and cultural values, churches, and khachkars (cross-stones).

This report was prepared with the support of the “Armenian Caritas” Charitable NGO.

It was presented to international organizations in 2024 and is now being published for the public. Immediately after publication, the report will be sent to international bodies, and appropriate actions will be taken based on the facts contained within it,” Tatoyan writes.
