If we manage to open the Armenia-Turkey border, it will have a very positive impact on our relations with Azerbaijan: Mirzoyan gives interview to Turkish media

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan gave an interview to Turkish NTV news outlet.

Among other topics, Mirzoyan addressed the issue of normalizing Armenia-Turkey relations.

“Our approach is that if we can open the borders between Armenia and Turkey, it will have a very positive impact on our relations with Azerbaijan. Our positions coincide on many issues in the Middle East. We have never been this close to each other before; we have never been this close to peace,” Mirzoyan noted.

According to him, there is a clear opportunity for peace, and therefore “we must promote stability, rather than further chaos and conflicts.”
