Vardan Ghukasyan elected Gyumri’s mayor

Vardan Ghukasyan has been elected as the mayor of Gyumri. All 18 members present at the Council of Elders meeting voted in favor of Ghukasyan.

The Civil Contract party boycotted the meeting.

Gohar Meloyan, an expert in constitutional law, told ABC media that the boycott by the Civil Contract party could not hinder the election of the mayor, as the Council of Elders meeting had achieved a quorum.
