IAEA chief: Iran is not far from having a nuclear weapon
Iran is “not far” from having nuclear weapons, Rafael Grossi, Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said in an interview with Le Monde.
“It’s like a puzzle: they have the pieces, and one day they may put them together. They’re not far off from that, and that needs to be accepted,” Grossi said.
He also noted that they are not part of the bilateral dialogue between Araghchi and Witkoff, but they are not indifferent to it. They will have to give their opinion on any potential agreement because they will be the ones to verify it.
