
Georgia’s prime minister and OSCE secretary general discuss importance of peace and stability in South Caucasus
OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, who is now in Georgia, met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
During the meeting, the officials discussed issues related to cooperation with the OSCE, the current situation in the region, and the challenges facing Georgia.
The parties also discussed the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus, as well as Georgia’s efforts in this direction.
It was noted that the OSCE remains the main platform for dialogue in European security architecture.
Earlier, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili also met with the OSCE secretary general, during which she stated that Tbilisi welcomes the peace agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia and is ready to contribute to strengthening peace and cooperation in the region.
