Lilit Galstyan: Our demands are addressed to the civilized world

Our righteous struggle can never be erased by any hostile force, any hostile army, or any hostile ideology. It cannot be erased from the generations’ memory or our genetic memory, during the traditional torchlight procession, MP Lilit Galstyan told ABC media.

“Unfortunately, today, the addressee of our demands is also us—in Armenia—because the current authorities in Armenia are engaged in a political course aimed at erasing our historical memory, undermining our national memories and national interests. But our demands are also directed toward the civilized world because every injustice breeds new injustices. Any genocide that has not been properly assessed by the international community, and for which the process of condemnation, consequence elimination, and reparation has not been completed, will once again become a crime against humanity,” Galstyan noted.

According to her, if the world had given an adequate assessment of what happened in Artsakh, the genocide occurring in Gaza would not be taking place.
