The recognition of historical truth is the duty of humanity: World commemorates Genocide victims
French President Emmanuel Macron made an X post regarding the Armenian Genocide: “110 years ago, the Armenian Genocide began. Today, on April 24—the National Day of Remembrance—let us remember all the victims and keep their memory alive. Let us continue to act—in the name of Humanity, for Truth and Justice.”
Nikos Dendias, Greek Minister of National Defense, also posted on his X account: “It is with deep respect that we honour the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. The Greek people share persecution and genocide experiences with the Armenian people. The recognition of historical truth is the duty of humanity.”
Lebanese President and General Joseph Aoun also sent greetings on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Aoun noted that commemorating the Genocide is not only a tribute to a tragic historical event but also a reaffirmation of the fundamental values of justice, human rights, and human dignity.
“This is a reminder to the world of the importance of standing against violence, extremism, and all forms of exclusion,” Aoun stated.
