Zakharova calls removal of word ‘Genocide’ from EU mission post ‘incredible cynicism’
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova has described the removal of the word “genocide” from an EU mission’s social media post about the Armenian Genocide as “cynicism” and disgusting.
In her Telegram channel, Zakharova quoted a report from Sputnik Armenia, explaining that the EU mission in Armenia had, for the first time, used the term “genocide” in a post commemorating the 110th anniversary of the tragic events. However, the word was later removed from their publication.
“Incredible cynicism and disgust,” Zakharova stated.
