Marseille’s mayor arrives in Armenia to visit border villages
Marseille’s mayor, Benoît Payan, has visited Armenia, as noted in his social media posts.
In a post on X, Payan stated that he visited the reception center for displaced persons from Artsakh in the Paruyr Sevak village near the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the medical center in Khachik village. Payan described the visit as “incredibly moving.”
“Marseille supports the Armenian people and peace. With pride and humility, I reaffirmed Marseille’s full support for those who have fallen victim to this terrible conflict and for those who tirelessly help them every day,” Payan wrote.
