Details emerge from India-Pakistan negotiations

India will only negotiate with Pakistan at the military level, with no political interactions planned, Hindustan Times writes.

“The only talks that will take place between India and Pakistan will be between military commanders overseeing operations. There will be no direct political negotiations,” sources cited by the publication revealed.

The sources also noted that there has been no communication between India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and their Pakistani counterparts.

Indian authorities believe there is nothing to discuss with Islamabad regarding the Kashmir issue, except for the return of what they refer to as “illegally occupied” territories to India.
