Kyiv agrees to talks only in case of immediate ceasefire
Ukraine is ready to enter negotiations only after a ceasefire is established, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
He described Russia’s initiative to end the war as “a positive sign,” noting that the world had expected such a move much earlier.
“Dialogue is crucial, and we hope that the ceasefire will hold and that peace can be achieved in the region. In this regard, international efforts toward peace are also noteworthy,” Zelenskyy wrote.
To remind, Russian President Vladimir Putin recently proposed starting negotiations in Istanbul without preconditions.
