Russia and Ukraine will immediately begin negotiations to end the war, says Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump positively assessed his phone conversation with Vladimir Putin. Trump wrote about this on Truth Social.

“Just completed my two hour call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. I believe it went very well. Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War,” Trump wrote.

The U.S. president mentioned the Vatican as a possible location for the talks, adding that the Pope would be very interested in hosting the talks.

Trump also noted that after his conversation with Putin, he had contacted the leaders of a number of European countries.
