Lavrov to discuss Ukraine with Turkish foreign minister

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, during his official visit to Moscow from May 25-27 to discuss the situation in Ukraine and the main causes of the crisis, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova told reporters.

“We, of course, have a bilateral agenda, and naturally, we will discuss the situation in the region and around the world. We have topics to discuss with Turkey in all these areas. Of course, without the situation around Ukraine, I don’t even remember what negotiations Foreign Minister Lavrov has conducted; every time this topic comes up with any partner, with in-depth analysis and examination of the root causes of the current situation,” the diplomat stated.
