Moscow ready to facilitate peace treaty signing between Baku and Yerevan, says Lavrov

Russia sincerely wishes success to Armenia and Azerbaijan in signing a peace treaty and is ready to continue providing all possible assistance to the parties in drafting and signing such a document, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a high-level conference dedicated to the historic southern Russian lands.

“It is necessary for Armenia and Azerbaijan to sign a peace treaty, and we sincerely wish them success in this endeavor. It is evident that the treaty became possible thanks to several tripartite summits involving Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. We are ready to continue assisting if both sides are interested,” Lavrov stated.
