Tehran and Washington still far from nuclear deal, says Araghchi
Iran and the United States are not yet close to resolving the nuclear issue, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on social media.
The minister added that Iran is pursuing a diplomatic settlement that would meet the interests of all parties involved. However, he noted that such a solution requires the development of an agreement that includes the removal of sanctions against Iran and allows uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes.
Earlier, CNN reported that Washington and Tehran could soon reach an agreement on resolving Iran’s nuclear issue.
