
Pezeshkian receives newly appointed Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has welcomed the newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan.
As noted, President Pezeshkian reflected on his visit to Baku and noted that it marked positive progress in Iran’s relations with Azerbaijan.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei announced that Tehran had appointed a new ambassador to Azerbaijan.
“The relations with Central Asian and Caucasus countries are very important to us. The administrative process of appointing Iran’s new ambassador to Azerbaijan has been completed. He is a highly experienced diplomat specializing in Eurasian matters,” Baghaei said. According to him, the ambassador’s name will be announced after the completion of the administrative process.
