Syria’s president to visit US in September and to speak at UN

Syria’s interim president Ahmed al-Sharaa is scheduled to visit the United States in September, Syria TV reports, citing sources.

“Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa will visit the U.S. in September and will deliver a speech at the upcoming U.N. meeting,” the TV channel reports.

As noted, this will be a Syrian president’s first speech at the U.N. in the last 60 years.
