Number of journalists killed in Gaza reaches 227, says Al Jazeera
Since Oct. 7, 2023, a total of 227 journalists have been killed in Gaza as a result of hostilities carried out by Israel, Al Jazeera reports.
As reported, photojournalist Mohammed Abu Al-Aouf was killed in an Israeli strike on Gaza City, which also resulted in the deaths of three emergency rescue workers. The photojournalist worked for several media outlets within the Palestinian enclave.
Al Jazeera notes that Gaza’s government press service strongly condemns the systematic attacks and killings of Palestinian journalists by Israeli authorities.
To remind, on March 18, the Israeli army resumed military operations in Gaza, launching massive strikes on the enclave and thereby breaking the ceasefire established earlier in January of this year.
