The Zionist regime has made a bitter and painful fate for itself with this crime, which it will regret, say Iran’s high-ranking authorities
Acts of aggression by the Zionist regime against Iran could not occur without coordination and approval from the United States. Therefore, the U.S. government—as the main supporter of the regime—is also responsible for the dangerous consequences of this reckless escalation, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
As noted, Israel’s strikes against Iran violate Article 4, Section 2 of the U.N. Charter and constitute an outright aggression against the Islamic Republic. Tehran has the legal right to respond to this aggression in accordance with Article 51 of the U.N. Charter, and Iran’s armed forces will not hesitate to defend its people with all their might and in their chosen manner.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei sent a message to the Iranian people: “Today, early in the morning, the Zionist regime committed a heinous crime with its dirty and bloodstained hands in our beloved country and has revealed its vile nature more than ever, attacking residential neighborhoods. Let the regime be severely punished. The powerful hands of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces will not leave it undisturbed, by Allah’s will. Several commanders and scientists have fallen martyr due to enemy attacks. Their deputies and colleagues will immediately fulfill their duty, if Allah wills. The Zionist regime has prepared a bitter and painful fate for itself with this crime, and it will undoubtedly come to it.”
The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran also issued a statement regarding Israel’s recent actions: “From this moment, all necessary measures have been initiated to make the Israeli illegal regime regret what it has done. We did not initiate the war, but Iran will write the final chapter of this story.”
Iran’s government also made a post on its Telegram channel: “The world now better understands why Iran insists on enriching uranium, developing nuclear technologies, and expanding missile capabilities,” reads the post.
