Russia ready to mediate between Tehran and Tel Aviv, says Peskov

Russia is still ready to provide its mediation services if necessary to resolve the conflict between Iran and Israel, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said during a press briefing.

“Russia maintains its willingness to offer mediation services if needed,” Peskov stated.

He noted that Moscow condemns actions that have led to increased tensions in the Middle East.

Answering a journalist’s question on how the Kremlin responds to Netanyahu’s statement that Israel’s actions might lead to a change of power in Iran, Peskov said, “Of course, we have seen, heard, and read that statement. That’s one thing. You know that we condemn those actions that have resulted in such dangerous escalation of tensions in the region.”
