
G7 supports Israel and criticizes Iran for instability in Middle East
Following the summit held in Canada, leaders of the G7 nations expressed their support for Israel and condemned Iran as a source of instability and terrorism in the Middle East, The Guardian writes.
Politicians also emphasized in their joint final statement that the Islamic Republic should never possess nuclear weapons.
Western leaders reaffirmed their commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East, while simultaneously stating that Israel has the right to self-defense.
The political figures called for an immediate halt to hostilities in the region, including between Iran and Israel, as well as in the Gaza Strip.
